Biography:

Mr. David Carrington is currently President of the Jefferson County Commission. Prior to being elected to the Commission in the June primary with more than 66% of the vote, David was a member of the Vestavia Hills City Council for six years, serving as its president for four years.

David is also the President of Racing USA, Inc., the world’s most frequently shopped, independently owned NASCAR store. Prior to launching RacingUSA.com in 1999, David was President of WDC Systems, Inc. from 1983 to 2001 and Vice President at Parisian from 1978 to 1983.

In 2005, David received the prestigious Alabama’s Retailer of the Year Gold Award and last year, he was recognized as the Acton Foundation’s National Entrepreneurial Hero.

David and his wife, Sonia, are active members of Shades Mountain Baptist Church. They have two adult sons and four grandchildren.
